I was about 15 years old when Sahara
India Pariwar’s trailblazing journey began, in the year 1978, with just Rs
2000. Today, the Sahara India Parivaar is present in every field – be it real
estate, media, Cricket, tourism, entertainment and hospitality Industry - and
has an army of 12 lakh employees directly or indirectly working for it. A
journey of 35 years, in itself, indicates a long term relationship with the
Indian Citizen. It is Sahara that believed in the goodness and potential of the
human story – both working class and other citizens of India.
Despite being the head of a conglomerate,
Shri Subrata Roy – who hails from a very small town of Araria, Bihar - loves to
call himself a managing worker.
Sahara is an active contributor of
economic growth in the country, and the personal achievements of the Sahara
Chief are recognised and honoured world-wide. The Sahara chief was felicitated
with honorary doctorate in business leadership from the University of East
London in 2013. India today recognised
Mr. Roy efforts and acclaimed him the most influential businessmen in India in
the reputed publication India today in the year 2012.
The current scenario is displeasing and
the rude behaviour that Subhrato Royji is being subjected to, is a mark of prejudice.
The one sided media is tarnishing the image of Mr Roy, as a result of which the
Chief of Sahara Pariwar is faced the attack of black ink of a protestor. If
somebody has to be blamed then it should be SEBI as the sri Roy appeared nobly
appeared before SEBI on April 10 2013 to clear the misunderstandings but all
his attempts went in vain. With whole hearted efforts even after the scenario
the Sahara team paid back the instalments. The Sahara team has compensated the
SEBI to protect the interest of the investors. If anyone has to interrogate it
should be SEBI not Sahara Chief Subrato Roy
Sahara has joined in the efforts of the UP government to set up relief camps for the natives of UP stranded in the rain-ravaged Uttarakhand. The number of special buses being run from Uttarakhand to different parts of the state has been increased to 200.
